Rates & taxes are subject to a 10% service charge and Maldivian taxes. Tourism GST is 17% where the time of supply is on or after 1 July 2025. Green Tax is USD 12 per person, per night (children under 2 are exempt from 1 January 2025). Soneva applies a 2% carbon offset.
Transfers must be booked in advance. Options include a ~75‑minute seaplane from Malé (daylight only), a domestic flight to Kulhudhuffushi followed by a ~60‑minute speedboat, or flying to Maafaru followed by a ~25‑minute seaplane to the resort. Timings and prices are subject to change.
Cancellation
Cancellation and prepayment conditions vary by rate plan and travel dates; please refer to your booking confirmation for exact terms. During peak/festive periods, stricter conditions generally apply and some offers may be non‑refundable or require a deposit.
Children and extra beds
Children of all ages are welcome. Please include the number and ages of children on your booking so the resort can advise the correct occupancy and inclusions.
Cribs/cots may be available on request for infants (subject to availability). Extra person charges may apply once the villa’s standard occupancy is exceeded; bedding configurations vary by villa type—confirm at booking.

Special check-in instructions
Please arrange transfers at least 72 hours prior to arrival. Seaplanes operate during sunrise–sunset; for same‑day travel from Malé plan to arrive by 15:00. For late arrivals, a domestic flight to Kulhudhuffushi followed by a speedboat may be arranged. Present a government‑issued photo ID and the same payment card used to guarantee the booking at check‑in.

Fees
Taxes & service charges: Room rates are subject to a 10% service charge, a 2% carbon offset tax, and a 16% Goods & Services Tax (TGST) until 30 June 2025, plus a Green Tax of USD 12 per person per night.
From 1 July 2025: TGST increases to 17% under Maldives Inland Revenue Authority rules, and Green Tax remains applicable; children under two years old are exempt from Green Tax.
Optional extras
Transfers: Round‑trip shared seaplane is priced at USD 1,950 per adult and USD 975 per child; private Soneva seaplane charter is USD 12,000 one‑way (up to 9 guests) and a regular 12‑seat charter is USD 7,500 one‑way (both typically include CIP service).
Soneva Unlimited (optional add‑on): Available as an all‑inclusive supplement at USD 870 per adult per night and USD 430 per child per night, inclusive of taxes and service charges; the supplement is in addition to villa rates.
À la carte spend: Private dining experiences, wine pairings, wellness treatments, marine excursions, and other signature experiences are available at additional cost and can be arranged with your Barefoot Guardian.

Check‑in / Check‑out: Check‑in is from 14:00 and check‑out is at 12:00 (noon).
Seaplane hours: Seaplanes operate only from sunrise to sunset; the last departure from Malé is typically 17:00. If arriving later, the resort can assist with a domestic flight plus onward transfer or an overnight in Malé.
Luggage: Seaplane allowance is 25 kg per person including hand luggage; infants under two have no baggage allowance on the seaplane.
Advance arrangements: Transfer bookings and passport details are required at least 72 hours prior to arrival.

Access options: In addition to a direct 75‑minute seaplane from Malé, guests may fly into Maafaru International Airport (operates 24/7) followed by a 25‑minute seaplane, or fly to Kulhudhuffushi and continue one hour by speedboat.
Soneva Time: The resort sets clocks one hour ahead of Malé to maximise daylight.
On‑island notes: A resort doctor is available 24/7. Seaplanes have no inflight restroom. Oversized items (e.g., surfboards) may not be carried on seaplane segments depending on weight.
House ethos: ‘No News, No Shoes’ and a strong plastic‑free policy—reef‑safe sunscreen and refillable amenities are provided, and guests are kindly asked to avoid single‑use plastics.
