Vakkaru Island

Vakkaru is an island in Maalhosmadulu Dhekunuburi, within the administrative Baa Atoll, Maldives. It has an area of about 15.40 hectares and is located at approximately 5°08′01″N, 72°54′36″E. The island has a northern Maldives setting with sandy shoreline, lagoon waters, and surrounding reef environment. It is approximately 125 km from Velana International Airport by straight-line distance.
