Fares Island

Fares is an island in Maalhosmadulu Dhekunuburi, within the administrative Baa Atoll, Maldives. It has an area of about 12.40 hectares, with recorded dimensions of about 648 metres by 194 metres, and is located at approximately 5°13′56″N, 72°52′38″E. The island has a northern Maldives setting with sandy shoreline, lagoon waters, and surrounding reef environment. It is approximately 136 km from Velana International Airport by straight-line distance.
