Faarufushi Island

Faarufushi, also listed as Fararafushi, is a small island in Maalhosmadulu Uthuruburi, within the administrative Raa Atoll, Maldives. It has an area of about 6.30 hectares and is located at approximately 5°46′04″N, 72°57′54″E. The island has a far northern Maldives setting with sandy shoreline, lagoon waters, and surrounding reef environment. It is approximately 186 km from Velana International Airport by straight-line distance.
