Athurugau Island

Athurugau is a small island in Ari Atholhu Dhekunuburi, within the administrative Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, Maldives. It has an area of about 3.10 hectares and is located at approximately 3°53′13″N, 72°48′58″E. The island has a compact coral-island setting with sandy shoreline, surrounding lagoon waters, and reef environment typical of South Ari Atoll. It is approximately 86 km from Velana International Airport by straight-line distance.
