Arrival & transfers. Ari Grand is located on Dhangethi Island and is reached by domestic flight or speedboat transfer from Velana International Airport. Guests should send arrival details in advance so transfer arrangements can be coordinated with the property.

Fees
Taxes & service charges: Stays in the Maldives are generally subject to a 10% service charge and Tourism Goods & Services Tax (TGST). For tourism-sector services such as accommodation and most extras, TGST is currently 17% following the nationwide increase effective in 2025. Unless clearly shown as inclusive or net, service charge and TGST are added to the final bill.
Green Tax: For guesthouses and smaller hotels on inhabited islands, the Maldives Green Tax is generally USD 6 per person per night for guests aged 2 years and above. Children under 2 years old are exempt. This charge is usually collected by the property and applies to each payable night of stay.
Optional extras
Transfers: For local-island stays, transfers are usually arranged by scheduled speedboat, public ferry or private speedboat on request. Exact timings and prices depend on your international flight, sea conditions and the island route, and are normally confirmed after booking.
Optional extras: Additional charges may apply for excursions, snorkeling or diving trips, fishing, sandbank visits, special meals, laundry, airport meet-and-greet, equipment rental and other personalised services. Any service not clearly stated as included in your confirmed booking is normally payable as an extra.

Check-in / check-out: Unless your confirmation states otherwise, standard check-in is usually from 14:00 and check-out is usually by 12:00 noon. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Traveller Declaration: International travellers to the Maldives are generally required to complete the Maldives Traveller Declaration (IMUGA) within 96 hours before arrival. A valid passport and proof of onward travel are required for entry.
Payments: Smaller hotels and guesthouses may accept USD cash and sometimes credit cards, but card acceptance can vary and bank or handling fees may apply. A deposit may also be requested at check-in for incidentals, depending on the property’s house rules.

Local-island rules: On inhabited islands, Maldivian laws and local community customs apply. Alcohol is generally not served on local islands unless specially licensed, and alcohol brought into the Maldives can be confiscated on arrival.
