Reservation
Reservation confirmation requirements. Amilla’s direct-booking terms state that arrival and departure dates, flight details, full names of each occupant, and dates of birth for children (if applicable) are required at least 14 days prior to arrival to complete the reservation process.
Rates, taxes and breakfast inclusion. The resort’s terms note that rates are per villa per night and include breakfast (at Fresh Restaurant), and are subject to applicable service charge and government taxes.
Incidental charges. The resort’s terms note that payment for all incidental charges needs to be settled on-island prior to check-out.
Transfers. Roundtrip transfers between Malé and the resort (seaplane or domestic + speedboat) are arranged by the resort and are typically charged in addition unless explicitly included in a package. Seaplanes operate during daylight hours; domestic alternatives may apply for late arrivals/early departures.
Cancellation
Payment timing and release of booking. For direct bookings, Amilla’s terms note that the contract is formed once payment due on booking is made and a confirmation is issued. The resort may release a booking if full payment is not received on time.
No-show. In the event of a no-show (neither used nor cancelled), the resort’s terms state a fee equivalent to the value of the entire stay and the arrival transfer booked will be levied (inclusive of taxes).
Cancellations. The resort notes that cancellation policies vary by season and accommodation selection; however, its terms also state that cancellations made within three days prior to arrival are charged at 100% of the accommodation fee value. Guests should always follow the exact conditions attached to their confirmed rate/offer.

Special check-in instructions
Getting to the resort. Amilla Maldives (Baa Atoll) is reached from Velana International Airport (Malé) by a shared seaplane flight of about 35 minutes, arranged by the resort. Seaplanes operate only during daylight hours, so guests arriving later in the day may use an alternative domestic flight to Dharavandhoo followed by a speedboat (about 10 minutes).
Arrival support. The resort notes that international arrivals are welcomed at the Amilla lounge at the seaplane terminal. Transfer prices and operating requirements can change, so guests should reconfirm the latest details with the resort or booking partner, and provide complete flight details in advance to ensure smooth transfer arrangements.
Important information
Fees
For stays at Amilla Maldives, a mandatory Green Tax is charged per person, per night in line with Maldivian regulations, and as of current national guidance this is commonly USD 12 per person, per night for tourist resorts, while children under 2 years are exempt.
Maldives resort bills typically add a compulsory 10% service charge plus Tourism GST on accommodation and most services (meals, drinks, spa, excursions and transfers), and recent legal amendments show Tourism GST has increased to 17%, so your final total is normally higher than the base room rate shown before taxes and service.
Roundtrip transfers between Velana International Airport (Malé) and Amilla are generally arranged by the resort and charged separately unless your package explicitly includes transfers.
Amilla’s official transfer guidance notes that the resort can be reached by shared or private seaplane (about 35 minutes) or by a domestic flight (about 20 minutes) followed by a short boat transfer (about 10 minutes), and seaplanes operate during daylight hours only.
Published example pricing from Amilla indicates shared seaplane transfers of approximately USD 850 roundtrip per adult and USD 450 roundtrip per child, excluding applicable taxes and service fees, and the resort will confirm the exact transfer amount and age bands for your dates.
For stays that include peak festive dates such as 24 December and 31 December, Maldivian resorts commonly apply compulsory festive event supplements (for example, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve gala dinners), and any mandatory supplements that apply to your booking will be itemised on your confirmation or pre‑arrival invoice.
Optional extras
If your booking is not on an all-inclusive package, optional extras typically include meal plan upgrades, à la carte dining, destination dining and in‑villa dining, all billed with service charge and Tourism GST.
Premium beverages, imported spirits, champagne and wines by the bottle, specialty coffees and extensive minibar consumption are usually not included in basic plans unless your offer specifically states otherwise.
Spa and wellness treatments, salon services and private sessions (such as personal training or tailored wellness experiences) are generally chargeable per treatment or per programme unless included as a credit or inclusion in your package.
Diving, excursions and watersports such as PADI courses, boat trips, private cruises, fishing trips and many motorised activities are typically optional and priced by activity and duration.
Guests may request private transfers or alternative arrangements (subject to availability), and transfer upgrades are usually charged in addition to shared transfer rates unless bundled in your offer.
Other common extras include laundry, celebration setups, babysitting where available, extra person supplements when exceeding standard occupancy, and early check‑in or late check‑out when available.
You need to know
Amilla’s published terms state check‑in is typically from 14:00 and check‑out is typically by 12:00, and early check‑in or late check‑out can only be considered based on availability.
Because the resort is accessed by seaplane or domestic transfer, you should share your international flight details with the resort well in advance so transfers can be scheduled; seaplane operations are normally limited to daylight hours.
At check‑in, guests are generally required to present a valid government‑issued photo ID and a credit card (or other accepted payment method) for incidentals, and the resort may place a pre‑authorisation or request a deposit depending on your booking terms.
Transfer charges, Green Tax, service charge and Tourism GST are typically payable as part of your resort account unless they are prepaid in your package; always review your voucher or confirmation to see what is included and what is payable locally.
Only registered guests are normally permitted to stay in villas and use most facilities, and day visitors or outside guests, if permitted at all, usually require prior approval and may be subject to additional charges and security procedures.
Special requests such as preferred villa location, bedding type, connecting villas, celebration arrangements and dietary requirements are subject to availability and should be reconfirmed directly with the resort prior to arrival.
We should mention
Resort listings for Amilla commonly state that pets and service animals are not allowed, so guests planning to travel with animals should confirm the latest policy in writing before booking.
Amilla recommends booking popular restaurants, experiences and spa treatments in advance, especially during school holidays and peak festive periods, to secure preferred time slots.
Transfers and marine activities in the Maldives can be weather dependent, and schedules may be adjusted for safety reasons due to sea state, visibility and aviation or maritime regulations.
Many villas have outdoor decks, steps and pool areas, and guests should take extra care around wet surfaces and open water edges, particularly at night or during rainfall.
Some channels list the resort as a smoke‑free property with non‑smoking rooms; if you smoke, contact the resort to confirm the current rules and any designated areas that may be provided.
Taxes, transfer rates, festive supplements, inclusions and resort policies can change, so the final and binding version of all fees and rules is the information stated on your latest booking confirmation and pre‑arrival communication from Amilla or your travel provider.
