Resort‑arranged speedboat transfer is required; the journey takes about 10 minutes from Velana International Airport and operates 24 hours. After clearing customs, meet the team holding a Kurumba sign or proceed to the Universal Resorts counter (row 1, #4).

Please provide your flight details in advance so transfers can be scheduled. Check‑in requires a passport; if your stay is not prepaid, the resort requests settlement within 24 hours of arrival.

Indicative transfer charges (official site): Shared USD 49.50++ per adult / USD 24.75++ per child per way; Private USD 75++ per adult / USD 37.50++ per child per way.

OTA fine print for 14 Jul 2025–31 Oct 2026 lists Shared USD 56.5 adult / USD 28.25 child and Private USD 75 adult / USD 37.5 child per way. Charges are subject to change.

Third‑party transfers are not permitted; all guests must use the resort’s speedboat service. Please inform your expected arrival time; a photo ID and the credit card used for booking may be requested at check‑in.

For departures, the airport recommends arriving 3 hours before flight time; the resort typically schedules transfers about 2.5 hours prior.

Fees

Green Tax of USD 12 per person per night applies, with children under 2 years exempt from 1 January 2025.

Taxes & Service are added to prices, including a 10% service charge and TGST 17% now in effect.

Airport transfers by shared speedboat are USD 49.50++ per adult per way and USD 24.75++ per child per way, while private speedboat is USD 75++ per adult per way and USD 37.50++ per child per way.

Festive supplements may apply on 24 December and 31 December, with recent schedules indicating USD 228 per adult and USD 114 per child on 24 December, and USD 419 per adult and USD 209 per child on 31 December.

Optional extras

Spa treatments at Veli Spa, including signature Dhivehi Beys rituals, are charged separately and require reservations.

Diving and snorkelling with Euro‑Divers, including PADI courses and boat trips to nearby sites, are available at additional cost.

Water sports and excursions, private cruises, and activities are offered for an extra charge.

Early check‑in and late check‑out may be available for an extra fee, subject to availability.

You need to know

Transfers operate 24 hours a day and take approximately 10 minutes; provide flight details at least 72 hours before arrival and meet the resort at airport counter 4.

Check‑in is from 14:00 and check‑out is by 12:00, with a lounge and shower room available for early arrivals or late departures.

Customs rules prohibit importing alcohol and certain other items, and alcohol brought into the country will be confiscated.

Payments are accepted in major currencies and by Visa, MasterCard and American Express; traveller’s cheques are not accepted and prices shown in USD exclude taxes and service charges.

Only registered guests are allowed in guestrooms, and no pets or service animals are permitted.

Seawalls protect the island to preserve the beach and ensure safer swimming, and occasional airplane or seaplane sounds may be heard due to proximity to the airport.

Shared transfers are group services and a 20–50 minute waiting time can occur depending on flights.
