Fees

Taxes & service charges: Stays in the Maldives are generally subject to a 10% service charge and Tourism Goods & Services Tax (TGST). For tourism-sector services such as accommodation and most extras, TGST is currently 17% following the nationwide increase effective in 2025. Optional extras

Transfers: For local-island stays, transfers are usually arranged by scheduled speedboat, public ferry or private speedboat on request. Exact timings and prices depend on your international flight, sea conditions and the island route, and are normally confirmed after booking.
