Advance booking required (5 days before arrival). Operates daily 06:00-16:00. Duration ~20 minutes.

Speedboat departure time is typically confirmed ~24 hours before arrival (schedules may change). Complete the IMUGA Health Declaration within 48 hours prior to arrival.
Meeting point
At Velana International Airport, go to the Help Desk (~10 meters from the exit doors on the left). Look for the Ecoboo team holding an Ecoboo logo sign.

Fees
From 1 January 2025, Ecoboo states that its rates are calculated with a USD 12 green tax per person, per night, and include GST (noting 16% until 30 June 2025 and 17% from 1 July 2025), and the hotel may apply any future government tax revisions even to already confirmed reservations.
Transfers to Ecoboo (Thinadhoo, Vaavu Atoll) are arranged with the property and charged per person based on your selected option and schedule.
The published shared speedboat transfer takes about 90 minutes and is priced at USD 130 return (or USD 65 one-way) per person, with scheduled departures Malé → Thinadhoo at 10:30 and 16:00 (Saturday to Thursday) and at 09:30 (Friday), and Thinadhoo → Malé at 06:00 and 13:00 (Saturday to Thursday) and at 06:00 (Friday).
The published seaplane transfer operates daily from about 06:00 to 16:00, takes about 20 minutes and is priced at USD 500 return (or USD 250 one-way) per person, with advance booking required (minimum 5 days before arrival).
Before arrival, Ecoboo asks guests to complete the IMUGA Health Declaration within 48 hours prior to arrival, and the property notes that transfer schedules are subject to change and that it is not responsible for transfer delays or cancellations.
Optional extras
Ecoboo offers a private speedboat option for a more flexible transfer, and rates and scheduling are provided on request.
If you choose a seaplane transfer instead of the scheduled speedboat, this is typically priced separately and must be booked in advance in line with the property’s transfer rules.
Additional paid items commonly include excursions, diving and snorkelling activities, on-site experiences, special meals and beverages beyond your booked package, and any other chargeable services you select during your stay.
Ecoboo’s payment policy notes that credit or debit card payments may incur an additional fee due to card transaction charges, and international bank remittances may be subject to bank processing fees that must be covered by the sender.
Early check-in, late check-out and special requests can depend on availability and may be chargeable where applicable, based on the hotel’s confirmation for your dates.
You need to know
Ecoboo’s published payment policy states that a 30% payment is required to confirm a booking and is non-refundable, and 100% payment must be credited to the hotel’s bank account up to 90 days before arrival or the booking may be cancelled.
The hotel also notes that failure to process the advance payment within 5 days of receiving the booking confirmation can result in automatic cancellation of the reservation.
Ecoboo’s cancellation policy indicates a 25% non-refundable condition, and for cancellations made less than 90 days before arrival the hotel reserves the right to retain 100% of the payment, while cancellations due to travel impossibility may be moved to a later date within 6 months without penalty (with seasonal price adjustments possible).
Check-in at Ecoboo Maldives is commonly listed as from 14:00, and check-out is commonly listed as until 11:00, and you should confirm the exact times shown on your reservation for your stay dates.
Because transfers operate on set timetables, guests should send flight details to the hotel in advance so the appropriate transfer can be scheduled, and seaplane transfers are limited to daylight operating hours.
We should mention
Ecoboo states it will confirm your speedboat departure time around 24 hours before arrival, and if you miss a scheduled speedboat the front office team will assist with the next available transfer.
On arrival at Velana International Airport, Ecoboo directs guests to meet the team at the Help Desk located about 10 metres from the exit doors, where staff may be holding an Ecoboo sign and will guide you to your transfer.
Seaplane and speedboat operations in the Maldives are weather dependent, so timings can change for safety reasons and transfers may occasionally be delayed, rescheduled or cancelled.
Online booking policies commonly state that pets and service animals are not allowed at Ecoboo Maldives, so guests travelling with animals should plan alternative arrangements.
Final taxes, inclusions, payment deadlines and any additional charges are governed by the terms on your booking confirmation and the property’s most recent written policies.
